Running Out of Excuses: Hill’s 2016 Buck-Passing
THE ISSUE: Hillary Clinton’s memoir “What Happened,” which tells her side of the 2016 election.
Hillary Clinton can write all the books she wants about her poor performance and campaign problems to explain why she lost the election, but we know the truth (“Hillary book reviews fast & ‘spurious,’ ” Sept. 14).
She lost because Americans finally realized they’d made a serious mistake in re-electing President Barack Obama in 2012.
She was viewed as a replacement who would finish the destruction he started.
Donald Trump was not the best candidate. Personally, if I had the choice between Hillary and the devil, I would have voted for the devil.

Just what we needed: another attempt by Hillary to explain why she lost.
Clinton had the megabucks of the Democratic National Convention and the Clinton Foundation behind her. But the people who voted for Trump saw through her lies and indiscretions.
We conservatives are savvier than the elitist lefties imagine.
So, lefties, continue to live in your bubbles and believe that the streets of New York City represent the entire nation.
I’ll savor another Trump victory in 2020.

If 100 percent of the proceeds for Hillary’s book don’t go to women’s centers and similar charities, it will prove Hillary is the female Trump.
Greed and narcissism are her only principles.

Hillary’s grudge against
Trump is still unchecked.
She may have conceded after the votes were counted and congratulated Trump, but it’s obvious that she still cannot accept Trump as president.
Americans have respect for Hillary and her service, but the election process is the pillar of our democracy. Voters had their say.
Although some Americans might not be happy with Trump, those same people hardly care what Hillary has to say about the election.

There’s been a lot of speculation about why Hillary wrote a tell-all book about the campaign. I think she wanted to prove the voters only had a choice between two crazies.
I thought “What Happened” was ghostwritten until I read the excerpts: Their banality and false friendliness convinced me Hillary wrote the book herself.

As a lifelong Democrat and someone who voted for Clinton, I find the suggestion in her book
that fired FBI Director James Comey cost her the election to be ridiculous.
Clinton’s failure to promote a positive vision and to campaign in all 50 states, plus her outsized sense of entitlement in using a private e-mail server, are what changed history.

Here we go again with Hillary’s blame game.
Apparently, since November, women in their 20s have approached Hillary in restaurants, theaters and stores to apologize for not voting.
Do you think she was in Indiana or West Virginia, states she lost to Trump, when these women approached her?
She should rename her book “A Hill of Beans.”

The best thing about Hillary’s book is that it assured Americans who voted for Trump that they made the right decision.
She has reconfirmed her title as a professional finger-pointer.
Imagine someone like that running the United States. Brian Keane Patchogue
I think it’s time for Hillary to quit blaming everyone else for her loss and take responsibility for her own actions.
Instead, she’s trying to make a buck off of an election that was nothing short of disgusting on both sides.
How pathetic do you have to be to lose to Trump? How can you think voters will believe that your loss wasn’t your fault?
