Dance steam

Jets LB hot over Lynch’s sideline moves

- By BRIAN COSTELLO

OAKLAND, Calif. — Marshawn Lynch is not known as a running back who does a lot of dancing, but he did some in Sunday’s 45-20 win.

Early in the fourth quarter after the Raiders took a 35-13 lead, Lynch did a wild dance on the sideline that was shown on the Oakland Coliseum scoreboard, sending the home crowd into a frenzy and irritating at least one Jet.

“That irks my ever-living nerves,” linebacker Jordan Jenkins said. “That pisses me off. I’m an old-school guy. I don’t like when things happen. That was embarrassing, losing like that and to have Marshawn dancing like that. Good player, but seeing that happen should infuriate the whole team. We should have a good response coming into next Sunday.”

Jenkins clarified that he did not think it was poor sportsmanship on Lynch’s part, just hard to accept.

“That’s the kind of thing I want us to be doing after games,” Jenkins said. “That’s the kind of thing I want us to do going into the fourth quarter, being excited, being overjoyed, being overzealous and celebrating, being happy, being ecstatic over a win.”

Other Jets shrugged off Lynch’s histrionics.

“It’s their house,” linebacker Darron Lee said. “They can do whatever they want in it.”

The Jets claimed Kalif Raymond off waivers two weeks ago on cutdown weekend. On Sunday, his muffed punt may have put his spot with the team in jeopardy. The turnover was a killer. It gave the Raiders the ball at the 4-yard line just before halftime, and they punched it in for a 21-10 halftime lead.

“I just took it for granted, man,” Raymond said. “I think that was one of the easier punts of the game that they kicked.” Right guard Brian Winters exited the game in the second quarter with what Bowles called an abdomen injury. He did not return. Dakota Dozier replaced him. ... Outside linebacker Fred

die Bishop injured his ankle in the second quarter and did not return.

Christian Hackenberg was inactive for the game after serving as the backup last week. Bryce Petty was the No. 2 quarterback after recovering from the knee sprain he suffered in Week 3 of the preseason.
