over MICHIGAN: The line dropped considerably for this rivalry game after opening at 14. We aren’t afraid to back the ’ dog as Michigan State has covered nine in a row versus its “Big Brother.” This figures to be a low-scoring game with two dominant defenses. Michigan will be without its starting quarterback, and while John O’Korn fared well in relief versus Purdue, there’s a reason he couldn’t beat out the average Wilton Speight. TCU (-131/2) over West Virginia: TCU is a legitimate contender to win the Big 12, which means it also is a playoff contender. Both teams feature potent offenses, but the Horned Frogs have huge edges on defense and special teams. TCU has held each of its FBS opponents (including Oklahoma State) to season-lows in total yards. West Virginia cannot stop the run and TCU is averaging 232 rushing yards per game. The Mountaineers also have covered just one of their past four as road ’dogs.
