Bunnies bitter over funeral

-

STAFFERS at the Playboy Mansion have been left feeling snubbed after the death of Hugh Hefner, sources tell Page Six. Playboy insiders — including a number of Playboy Playmates of the Month — are grousing that they were disheartened to find that Hefner’s extremely private funeral in Los Angeles came and went without members of their “Playboy family” even being informed. “There’s a real bond between the people who have been involved with Playboy, and the Mansion, and Hefner,” said one insider, “and in the past there has been an attempt to keep everyone together.” But the source says that as Hefner’s health declined, the inner circle was made smaller. Hefner was laid to rest beside Marilyn Monroe at Westwood Village Memorial Park, and the ceremony reportedly only included Hefner’s four kids, his wife Crystal Harris and some “key staffers.” “Some of the Playmates were saying to each other, ‘Oh, I guess the funeral already happened?’ It’s sad,” a source told us. Playboy did not get back to us for comment — but we’re told that “in a month or so, there will be a celebration for friends, employees and Playmates.”
