Hiram ex’s demand

- Priscilla DeGregory and Emily Saul

A lawyer for the ex-fiancée of disgraced Queens pol Hiram Monserrate demanded her client be given a special prosecutor Thursday in her ongoing domestic-violence case involving a new boyfriend.

Defense attorney Stacey Richman made the request, saying she was blindsided by the revelation that her client, Karla Barba, had previously sued Queens prosecutors in 2010 for harassment following dogged attempts to get her to cooperate against Monserrate in 2008.

Barba currently stands accused of attacking her now- fiancé, Franklin Lorrea, with a samurai sword during a 2016 spat at their Jackson Heights apartment.

“I have been contacted by Mr. Lorrea — he does not wish to go forward with the case,” Richman told the court Wednesday, adding Lorrea has complained he’s being “watched” by police.

Queens Supreme Court Justice Deborah Stevens Modica has yet to rule on Richman’s request.

Barba maintains the bloody slashing of Lorrea was an accident.
