From the right: How Liberals Will Re-Elect Trump

Robert Robb at the Arizona Republic used to think President Trump either wouldn’t seek re-election in 2020 or would lose, given that “nothing is getting done and his superficial leadership is much to blame.” But now he maintains “the left will re-elect Trump” because it “interprets all of Trump’s actions through the prism of perceived appeals to white racism.” Case in point: the NFL protests. You “don’t have to be a racist to find galling the spectacle of pampered athletes . . . ostentatiously exempting themselves from the traditional display of fidelity to our country.” White middle-Americans are simply “sick of having identity and grievance politics thrown in their faces all the time.” So if the left keeps telling them they’re racists, “Trump will be re-elected.”
