Conservative: News Media Don’t Get Guns — or Want To

Most members of the mainstream news media and political left “do not understand guns,” contends Stephen Miller at Fox News: “They could not tell you the difference between an automatic or semiautomatic firearm.” And “it’s safe to say most of them had not heard the term ‘bump stock’ until this week.” Which is why, he suggests, their pleas “to ‘do something’ are falling on mostly deaf ears.” Actual firearms experts are mostly “sidelined from national cable news and Sunday shows “in favor of guests who suggest suppressors are used by hunters to prevent deer from hearing a fired shot.” Which also is why gun owners “will refuse to have that ‘conversation’ the left and the media keep telling themselves needs to happen.”
