Disney, Altice settle

The Walt Disney Co. and Altice USA, the country’s No. 4 cable operator, officially buried the hatchet after the close of trading on Thursday.

A “comprehensive distribution agreement” for New Yorkarea customers of Altice’s Optimum service was announced. One of the bones of contention involved ESPN, which is being squeezed by falling subscriptions and rising costs.
