Still boss no matter ‘Cost’

Costco reported higherthan-expected quarterly profit and revenue Thursday, despite hiking membership fees. Its fourth quarter US comp sales also rose 5.8 percent.

Membership fees, which accounted for about 72 percent of operating income in 2016, rose 13 percent to $943 million in the quarter ended Sept. 3. Costco closed up Thursday at $167.07.
