Actress Alyssa Milano has sparked a viral campaign under the hashtag “#MeToo,” calling on women to speak up about surviving sexual assault.

“If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote ‘ Me too.’ as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem,” Milano (inset), 44, tweeted Sunday night.

Milano, who is known for her roles in “Who’s the Boss?” and “Melrose Place,” also starred in “Charmed” alongside Rose McGowan, one of disgraced media mogul Harvey Weinstein’s accusers.

She also is a friend of Weinstein’s wife, Georgina Chapman.

In another tweet that links to a blog post, Milano wrote about Weinstein, “While I am sickenedckened and angered over the disturbing accusations of Weinstein’s sexual predation and abuse of power, I’m happy — ecstatic even — that it has opened up a dialogue around the continued sexual harassment, objectification and degradation of women.”

Milano wrote that she got the idea for her campaign from a friend. She was flooded with thousands of responses from women across the globe, including from “Will & Grace” star Debra Messing and Anna Paquin, the Oscar-winning actress from New Zealand, among a slew of other stars.

By Monday afternoon, more than 500,000 #MeToo tweets were published on Twitter — and stories also inundated Facebook, with more than 483,000 users said to be discussing the subject.
