PresidentPresi Trump traded accusationstions oon Monday with a Gold Star widow.widow The president insisted he had a “very respectful conversation” with the wife of slain Sgt. La DavidDa Johnson — soon after shesh went on TV to say he couldn’tc even remember the n name of her husband during a consolation call.

“I had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!” Trump tweeted.

His post came soon after Myeshia Johnson (left) appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” saying the tone of Trump’s voice during his call “made me cry.”

“I heard him stumbling trying to remember my husband’s name,” Johnson said.

“And that’s what hurt me the most. Because if my husband is out fighting for our country and he risked his life for our country, why can’t you remember his name? And that’s what made me upset and cry even more, because my husband was an awesome soldier,” she said.

La David Johnson was killed Oct. 4 with three other US soldiers in an ambush in Niger.

Trump called Johnson last Tuesday as she was on the way to Miami International Airport to meet the casket of her husband.

“Yes, the president said that he knew what he signed up for, but it hurts anyway,” Johnson said.
