NBA: Celts win, Kyrie injured

Jayson Tatum had 16 points, Shane Larkin added 16 off the bench and the Celtics overcame an injury to Kyrie Irving and a 12-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Hornets 90-87 on Friday night.

Terry Rozier finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists, playing an increased role after Irving left the game in the first quarter after taking an elbow to the face.

Celtics center Aron Baynes’ elbow inadverten­tly struck Irving when Baynes was landing after a rebound attempt. Irving fell to the floor and was bleeding from the nose as he was escorted back to the locker room. Irving was ruled out for the rest of the game while he was monitored for possible concussion symptoms.

Chicago and the United Center will play host to the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, the league announced Friday.

NHL: Sens victorious in Sweden

Mark Stone scored in regulation and again in overtime to give the Senators a 4-3 victory over the Avalanche in the first of two regularsea­son games in Stockholm, Sweden’s capital.

MLB: Weiss joins Braves

Former Rockies manager Walt Weiss, who completed his playing career with Atlanta in 2000, is returning to the Braves as a bench coach. Weiss led the Rockies to a 283-365 record as manager from 2013-16.

St. Francis Brooklyn and rival LIU will meet for the NEC men’s soccer title after both won their semifinal games. Top-seeded St. Francis beat No. 4 Robert Morris 3-0 behind two goals from Ali Tounkara. LIU, the No. 2 seed, took down No. 3 Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-0.
