OFFENSE

The Jets got nothing going until late in the game when the Buccaneers went into prevent mode. The Jets had 146 yards through three quarters before making it look better. They had only eight first downs through three quarters. QB Josh

McCown (23-of-39, 262 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 77.1 rating) was under pressure all day as the offensive line fell apart. The Jets ran for just 56 yards and went 3-for-15 on third down.

DEFENSE

This group played well enough to win for most of the day, but got no help from the offense. Buccaneers quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (17-of-34, 187 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 64.2 rating) did not do much for most of the game. The biggest knock on this group was the penalties committed that kept drives going. The unit also fell apart on Tampa Bay’s late touchdown drive.

SPECIAL TEAMS

The Jets continue to get little impact from this group.

JoJo Natson was the latest returner for the Jets, but he did not do much. The Jets nearly gave up a punt return for a score but punter Lachlan Edwards made a touchdown-saving tackle.

COACHING

You could see this coming a mile away. The Jets were riding high after last week’s win over the Bills. Todd

Bowles did not have his team ready to play for this game. They came out flat and Tampa Bay took advantage. Offensive coordinator John Morton had one of his worst days. He had no answers for what the Buccaneers were doing.
