Roy Moore’s Murky Past: Judging the Accusations
If the allegations against Judge Roy Moore are true, he should certainly end his campaign (“Prez and Mitch to huddle over Moore fiasco,” Nov. 15).
But let’s note that the other side has very different standards.

Many top Republicans have called on Moore to step down from next month’s special election if he’s guilty of sexual misconduct.
One woman claims she was 14 years old at the time of her encounter with Moore. Moore has stoutly denied the incident happened.

According to one poll, some 37 percent of Alabama evangelicals said they were more likely to vote for Moore after he was accused of sexual misconduct.
Moore was reportedly banned from an Alabama mall after harassing teen girls in the 1980s.
It seems that although Republicans were obsessed with Anthony Weiner getting as much jail time as possible, some want Moore to not only avoid jail time but serve in the Senate. Edward Drossman Manhattan
With many people questioning the authenticity of Moore’s accusers, it’s interesting that . establishment Republicans turned on him before the facts were all revealed.
It’s conceivable that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell & Co. would be pleased to let a Democrat take control of that Senate seat.
Not only would that destroy any chance of President Trump’s agenda being realized, but the Senate would then be absolved of any legislative responsibility and continue to do nothing for the next several years. Jim Ahlers N. Massapequa
