Mika a faker & Joe faux

- Joe Tacopino

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” aired a post-Thanksgiving segment on Friday that was nothing but stuffing — as it was revealed how the hosts simply prerecorded their faux holiday banter to pretend they were airing live.

Anchors Joe Scarborough, and Mika Brzezinski, who are engaged to each other, purported to recap their food-filled turkey-day experiences during the live news program that aired Friday morning.

“Day after Thanksgiving! Hoo! I’m stuffed,” Brzezinski said in the segment.

But the show was actually recorded on Wednesday — the day before Thanksgiving, according to The Washington Post.

As the show continued — even co-host Willie Geist jumped into the fictitious Thanksgiving Day recap.

“I always cook the turkey with the guts in it!” Brzezinski said about cooking her bird.

“Joe didn’t notice. He ate the bag,” Geist joked.

Scarborough then got into the action by pretending to enjoy a football game that had not yet taken place.

“It was good!” he said about the stuffing.

“Well, you know, the game made up for it,” he added.

An NBC exec told the paper that the hosts did not intend to trick the viewers but instead were simply “having fun” with the pretense that it was recorded live.
