GOP pollster: Young Voters Are Rejecting Both Parties

-

A new poll from the Harvard Institute of Politics suggests voters under 30, by a 2-to-1 margin, would prefer a Democratic Congress to a GOP one. But the real surprise, says Kristen Solis Anderson at the Washington Examiner, is “how pitifully the Democratic Party continues to do” with these same voters and its inability “to once and for all lock down this generation.” In fact, she says, “America’s young voters are increasingly opting for ‘none of the above.’ ” An NBC survey last month showed 71 percent of millennials say “a third major party is needed.” The damage that the GOP has done to itself with millennials “is growing worse and worse as the months go by,” she says, “yet, astonishingly, Democrats have not been able to seal the deal.”
