An off-duty rookie cop was jumped by three men who smashed a bottle over his head and stole his service weapon in The Bronx on Sunday, officials said.

The 25-year-old officer had been with his family at a fund-raiser in Mount Hope and left to pick up his car when the muggers approached him just before 3 a.m., according to police.

The cop was punched several times in the face before one of the men broke a glass bottle over his head, causing him to black out, authorities said.

When he came to, the officer realized he was on the ground and one of the thieves was removing his cellphone and 9mm Glock 26 pistol, police said. The three men then fled. The officer’s parents found their son lying in- jured in the street and called 911. He was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital for a large cut on the back of his head, according to officials.

A 27-year-old man suspected in the attack was apprehended near the scene and taken in for questioning. Charges are pending, police said.

The two other men were still being sought Sunday evening, and the gun had not yet been recovered.

It’s likely the crooks didn’t realize their victim was a cop, a source speculated.

Police sources said the injured officer joined the force in October 2016 and is assigned to the 46th Precinct. There was no indication he was drunk at the time of the attack, sources said.
