Douglas accused by writer

-

A former employee of Michael Douglas says that the “Fatal Attraction” star sexually harassed her and masturbated in front of her.

Journalist and author Susan Braudy — who worked for Douglas’ production company — told the Hollywood Reporter, “Michael unzipped his chinos and I registered something amiss.” Douglas has strenuously denied the allegation.

Braudy was hired in the late ’80s to head the New York office of Douglas’ production company, Stonebridge Productions.

She told THR that Douglas sexually harassed her with near-constant profane and sexually charged dialogue.

Braudy said that the actor commented on her figure and when she started wearing loose clothing to dissuade him, he “asked a producer, ‘Why does Susan dress like a pregnant nun?’ ”

She said, “Another time I laughed loudly and he shouted to a group of agents, ‘Oh yeah, she’s a screamer! I bet she screams in the sack.’ I protested, ‘Please, don’t talk like that. It’s inappropriate.’ This made him laugh until he got pink splotches on his cheeks.”

The writer said that in 1989 the pair had a workshopping session for an “E.T.”-like script, and that “Michael unzipped his chinos and I registered something amiss. Still complimenting my additions to our ‘E.T.’ imitation, his voice lowered at least half an octave. I peered at him and saw he’d inserted both hands into his unzipped pants. I realized to my horror that he was rubbing his private parts. Within seconds his voice cracked and it appeared to me he’d had an orgasm.”

Douglas denied the claims before the article was published, saying in an interview with showbiz blog Deadline, “This is a complete lie, fabrication, no truth to it whatsoever.”

On Friday his movie-star wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, addressed the allegations on “The View,” saying, “It’s a question for him. It happened 30 years ago. It was BC — before Catherine,” adding, “But I stand against it.”
