-

April 6, 2017 — Tebow debuts with the Single-A Fireflies and homers in his first at-bat, an auspicious beginning to his Mets career.

May 17 — File this in this “Tebow can do no wrong” category as the prospect throws a ball that nails a fan in the crotch. Tebow turns the errant throw into a souvenir by adding his signature for the “lucky” fan. June 18 — Hitting .228 with 63 strikeouts in 197 at-bats, Tebow gives the fans something else to be in awe of as he loses his grip on his bat and flings it over the field-level section and several rows deep into the next section up. June 19 — During a road game against the Charleston RiverDogs, the RiverDogs’ mascot takes to “Tebowing” on the field, and the scoreboard displays every other Fireflies player’s name as “Not Tim Tebow.” June 28 — Despite a mediocre performance with Columbia, Tebow is promoted to St. Lucie, where he promptly homers in his first game.

July 29 — Tebow, known and beloved for his fan interactions, gives a hug to a young autistic boy in the stands then immediately hits a three-run home run.

Aug. 5 — St. Lucie announces it has set a new single-season attendance record, with the Tebow circus almost certainly a driving force.

Sept. 3 — Tebow’s first professional season ends, with the outfielder posting a .226 batting average and 126 strikeouts in 126 games.
