Dumbo ‘Seas’ rise in eateries

Dumbo’s waterfront, with its stunning Manhattan skyline views, is becoming a dining destination in its own right.

Seamore’s, the sustainable-seafood-centric eatery from The Meatball Shop’s cofounder Michael Chernow, is opening its fifth location this month at 66 Water St.

The 2,300square-foot restaurant will have 90 seats in the main dining room and bar, and 35 seats in the private dining room, named Finnley’s

The opening follows that of Sugarcane raw bar grill, a Miami import favored by celebs like Jennifer Lopez, at 55 Water St., as Side Dish previously reported; as well as Venice-born Cecconi’s, which opened its stand-alone Dumbo outpost last May.

Juice Generation is opening its 19th location at 4 Astor Place this month.

The building also houses Harvey Milk High School, the country’s first public high school for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students, on the building’s third floor.

Juice Generation will partner with the school and work with students to develop a juice to celebrate Gay Pride in June, with all proceeds benefiting the school, said Eric Helms, Juice Generation’s founder.

A humble downtown coffee shop has brewed up a plan to moonlight as a cocktail joint.

Hole in the Wall, an 800square-foot, 40-seat venue for caffeine addicts at 15 Cliff St., this week will begin closing at 5 p.m. in order to transform itself into Sugar Momma for the evening booze crowd.

“I wanted to create a new experience to take our customers from coffees in the morning to espresso martinis at night,” said Australian owner Barry Dry.

Sugar Momma launches on Thursday.

It will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 6 p.m. until midnight.
