Pryor on Red alert for scrimmage versus ’Skins

- By BRIAN COSTELLO

Things could get testy when the Jets and Redskins conduct joint practices in Richmond, Va., Aug. 12-14.

Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, who was on the Redskins last year, made it clear Thursday that if the Redskins take a shot at him, like they have said they want to, there will be a response.

“If they take dirty shots, I’m sure we’ll handle that accordingly,” Pryor said. “You start trying to make it an individual thing, it takes away from our team. I don’t want to individualize myself.”

Earlier in camp, Pryor said comments by Washington linebacker Zach Brown were “fun stuff.” But he went a little further Thursday.

“We’re there to practice and get better,” Pryor said. “If I wanted to put my shoulder down and hit one of them — and get chippy, too — I’m sure I could do that. But that’s not why we’re there.”

Last month, Brown made it sound like the Redskins will be looking to take a shot at Pryor.

“The boys are going to have it out for him,” Brown said. “We can put hands on him now. The boys were already hot for what he was doing last year. Try to onehand something while you’re with the Jets, you’re going to catch a forearm.”

OLB Dylan Donahue pleaded guilty Wednesday to DWI charges stemming from a wrong-way crash in the Lincoln Tunnel. Donahue checked himself into a treatment facility shortly after the incident and said Thursday it was a wake-up call.

“Since the incident I haven’t had a drop of alcohol and I’ve encouraged my teammates that have any issues with that subject, I’d like to help everyone out,” Donahue said. “It’s definitely changed my perspective on a lot of things.”

Donahue faces a separate DUI charge in his home state of Montana. He has a hearing scheduled for next week, but Donahue said that case should be settled in the next few days, suggesting another plea deal.

The NFL almost certainly will dis- cipline Donahue for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

“I’m not really sure yet,” he said of an NFL suspension. “They haven’t contacted me yet so I’m not really sure the answer to that question.”

WR Quincy Enunwa did not practice for the second straight day Thursday. He was spotted with a wrap on his right hand. Jets coach Todd Bowles said the hand had been sore and they wanted to give him some time off. It did not sound like a serious injury.
