Nats’ Herrera to DL

Nationals right-handed reliever Kelvin Herrera was placed on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a right rotator cuff impingemen­t, further thinning the back of Washington’s bullpen. The injury occurred Tuesday night in the ninth inning of a loss to the Braves.

Carolina extends lineman

The Panthers signed offensive lineman Tyler Larsen to a two-year contract extension, putting him under contract through the 2020 season. Financial terms were not immediatel­y available.

liams and Amini Silatolu to knee injuries in camp. Williams will not have surgery to repair a dislocated right kneecap and torn medial collateral ligament, but is expected to land on injured reserve, according to NFL Network.

The transfer was completed shortly after Courtois’ move to Madrid in a deal that will see midfielder Mateo Kovacic move to the London club on a season-long loan.
