Grieving Mollie Tibbetts: A Tragic, Avoidable Loss
Mollie Tibbetts’ disappearance while jogging in a small town in Iowa drew national media attention (“Tragic Mollie’s autopsy,” Aug. 24).
Last week, Cristhian Rivera, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing Tibbetts.

Tibbetts allegedly was murdered by an illegal alien. Kate Steinle was murdered by an illegal alien. Innocent motorists have been killed by illegal aliens. Law-enforcement officers have been murdered by illegal aliens.
Yet liberal politicians are fighting construction of a border wall and want to abolish ICE, the agency that just deported an ex-Nazi living in our own backyard.

We have often heard that if we could save even one life with gun control, we should do what is necessary.
So if we could save many lives by deporting illegal immigrants who don’t belong here and are committing crimes, why shouldn’t the same rule apply?
