LeBron reheats Kobe beef

-

NEW Laker LeBron James took a subtle dig at Lakers legend Kobe Bryant while accepting an award. Way back in 2012, Drake caused a stir by suggesting Bryant’s then-estranged wife, Vanessa, didn’t deserve half of Kobe’s money if they split, rapping on Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin’ ”: “Bitch, you wasn’t with me shootin’ in the gym.” Vanessa even responded, saying, “I don’t need to be in the gym. I’m raising our daughters, signing checks and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life.” And at the Harlem’s Fashion Row style awards Tuesday night, Drake pal James dredged up the old beef to praise his own wife, Savannah. Accepting the Icon 360 Award, James said of her, “We have been down since high school. I listen to a lot of rap music, and a good friend of mine said a lyric: ‘ You wasn’t with me shooting in the gym,’ but in all actuality, Savannah was with me shooting in the gym before I had absolutely nothing. [Sic] So thank you, and I will love her forever for that.” Meanwhile, he also showered praise on his 3-year-old daughter, Zhuri, whom he carried onstage with him. “And to this pretty girl right here — this is my rock. I had two boys first. People always told me, ‘If you have a little girl, it will change you,’ and I was like, ‘ Nah, nothing is changing me, I am who I am. I am a man.’ ” But James — who moved to the LA team in the offseason — said that not only had Zhuri changed him, “she has made me a better person. A more dedicated person.”
