Make the Right Choice In the Tuesday Elections
THE ISSUE: The midterm elections to be held Tuesday and The Post’s endorsements in key races in the region.
Kudos to The Post for backing Marc Molinaro for governor and Chele Farley for the US Senate in the upcoming elections (“Molinaro for Governor,” Editorial, Oct. 29).
The Post is right in saying that Gov. Cuomo has no agenda for New York. That’s because he has no intention of governing the state if he’s elected, as he will direct his full attention to trying to defeat President Trump in 2020. So it’s imperative we elect Molinaro governor.
As for Farley, there’s no question she will do an outstanding job. Bob Iervolino Muttontown
While New York becomes increasingly blue each election cycle, one can’t help but notice that the same folks voting in Cuomo, et al., never stick around for their electoral handiwork. They beat it to states like Florida to avoid the inevitable taxation. Scott Vankuren Middleburgh
Kudos for your editorial in support of Bob Hugin (“Hugin for New Jersey,” Editorial, Oct. 28). You chose integrity over party, which is the right thing to do. Alan Podhaizer Brooklyn
Do you want America to continue to prosper economically, to protect the unborn, have better health-care options and see the restoration of religious freedoms? Or do you want all those accomplishments overturned by partisan, divisive politicians who call for violence and play identity politics? The choice is clear. Mark A. Peter Solana Beach, Calif.
Voters, take notice of your blind support of New York’s political hierarchy — Gov. Cuomo, Mayor de Blasio and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand — and look at what is really going on. Keep your eyes open, look around at the deterioration of the subways and roads and the increase in homelessness and quality-of-life crimes. John Avelli Brooklyn
Your vote tells the world that America is a free democracy and its citizens held responsible for the direction their elected officials take. Without your vote, a smaller percentage will hold power and corrode our politics. To safeguard the power given us by the Constitution and those who fought to keep us free, please vote.
