DRIVE US WILD!
2019’s sexiest cabbies
Hail Mr. October — he’s sure to jump-start your engine!
Russian-born Greg Witkin (the guy with the strategically misplaced jumper cables above) is just one of a dozen hacks screeching straight to our hearts, and cutting a quick detour to our funny bones, in the sixth annual NYC Taxi Drivers Calendar.
Other months in the 2019 cabbie calendar are heralded by Mr. April, Nurul Alam of Bangladesh (middle left), who’s eager to blast you with his boom box — just not during your actual trip, of course.
And a little Photoshop magic has brought us the calendar’s flying back-page cabbie, Golam Haider (bottom left), also from Bangladesh.
“There’s a stool underneath him” in real life, Philip Kirkman, part of the photo team, conceded. “We removed the stool and merged two photos.”
Other drivers, er, hail, from the Ivory Coast and Panama.
“Diversity is very important to us,” Kirkman’s wife, Shannon, told The Post on Satur- day, noting that 90 percent of the city’s cabbies are immigrants.
“We want to celebrate the diversity of taxi drivers, and New York City itself.”
The Kirkmans’ charity-fundraising project spoofs the FDNY’s hunky firefighters calendar, and has raised some $70,000 for the social-outreach nonprofit University Settlement.
The organization serves immigrant and low-income families with education, housing and health services.
The cabbie cavalcade sells for $14.99 at nyctaxicalendar.com.
