Coach: RJ could also be No. 1 pick

RJ Barrett’s high school coach believes his former player didn’t get the attention he was due at Duke because of Zion Williamson and feels there could be a case made for the 6-foot-7 stud to be the No. 1 pick of the draft.

Kevin Boyle, head coach at national powerhouse Montverde Academy in Florida, said Barrett showed “maturity’’ in not squawking about being overshadowed by Williamson, who is expected to be picked No. 1 by New Orleans. The Knicks will select third and Barrett is likely to fall to them.

“You see how he handled himself this year,’’ Boyle said Monday in an appearance on “MSG 150”. “You have an incredible player in Zion Williamson. And obviously they’re both great players. You can make a great argument for both to be No. 1 in the draft. And Zion deserved all the attention he got. But RJ probably deserved more attention than he received. And he was never jealous. He was happy for his friend. Happy for the team. And I think that’s a rare quality in today’s kids.”

Boyle, who was the longtime coach of St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth, N.J., also has coached Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, DeAngelo Russell and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

According to a French podcast, Frank Ntilikina changed agents to French rep, Bouna Ndiaye, leaving CAA’s Leon Rose. Ntilikina, who suffered through an injury-marred second season, will likely be shopped on draft night as the Knicks look to add another selection — either late in the first round or early in the second.

Tacko Fall, the 7-7 center, postponed his Knicks workout Monday because of travel issues late Sunday. It will be rescheduled.
