A-listers’ huddle up before big game

-

A GROUP of power players was seen streaming into Miami’s Soho Beach House on Thursday before the Super Bowl for a luncheon hosted by Fanatics mogul Michael Rubin and Hollywood sports agent and scion Casey Wasserman. The hush-hush A-list gathering aimed to bring together NFL owners, top CEOs, moguls, musicians and more in town for the game, we hear. A spy said, “It was a seated lunch for the 100 most influential people at the Super Bowl.” Sources at the hot spot saw team owners including Robert Kraft, Jed York, Stan Kroenke, Jeffrey Lurie, Jimmy and Dee Haslam, Kim Pegula, and David and Nicole Tepper, plus NFL chief media and business officer Brian Rolapp. Also spotted were Shaquille O’Neal, Pharrell Williams, Bill Belichick, Peyton Manning and Scooter Braun — who arrived with reggaeton singer J Balvin (apparently the only guest with lightning bolts dyed into his hairdo). Also schmoozing were Mark Cuban, Alex Rodriguez, hospitality guru Dave Grutman, Marshawn Lynch, Saquon Barkley, Todd Gurley, Van Jones, FedEx founder Fred Smith, Meek Mill, Barry Sternlicht and new NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell. The group was seen powwowing in a cocktail area before sitting down to dine al fresco. Meanwhile, big outdoor Miami parties scheduled for Saturday have been scrambling to move locations due to expected rain. We hear that during the lunch, Rubin’s team was busy moving his Saturday Fanatics bash from the Mondrian South Beach pool to a luxe tent at the Loews that’s housing the NFL commissioner’s party the night before. Joked a source, “As the weather’s downgrading, the parties are upgrading.”
