THE STORY

The Raiders make a crosscountry flight for a second straight week, this time to take on the Jets at MetLife Stadium.

The 0–11 Jets, the NFL’s last remaining winless team, are coming off a 20-3 loss as 7-point home underdogs to the Dolphins. It dropped New York’s against-the-spread record to 3-8, which includes a 2-4 against-the-spread mark in home games.

The 6-5 Raiders come into this one with a 7-4 againstthe-spread record after losing 43-6 as 3.5-point road favorites at Atlanta this past Sunday. It marked the first time in 2020 that Las Vegas had been favored on the road by more than a field goal. The upcoming game against the Jets marks the first time in more than 18 years that the Raiders have been a road favorite of more than five points.

The Jets’ odds to beat Raiders opened at +320 at FOX Bet Sportsbook, which implies New York has a 24 percent chance of winning.

THE HISTORY

Home field has provided a significant advantage in this head-to-head series over the past decade: The home team has won all six meetings between the teams since the start of 2011, with five of those victories having been by double digits. The last time these teams met, the Jets won, 34-3, in November 2019 as 3.5-point home underdogs. While Jets quarterback Sam Darnold threw for 315 yards and a pair of touchdowns in that one, the Jets defense held Raiders QB Derek Carr to 127 passing yards.

FOX Bet Sportsbook is offering odds of +225 for Sam Darnold and Derek Carr to each throw for at least 250 yards on Sunday.

THE STARS OF THE SHOW

After having missed four of New York’s first eight games of the 2020 season, Breshad Perriman has been the Jets’ most productive offensive player in recent weeks. Over the past three games, Perriman has scored three touchdowns while averaging 21.3 yards per reception and 78.0 receiving yards per game.

FOX Bet Sportsbook is offering odds of +333 on Breshad Perriman to tally 75 or more receiving yards and score a touchdown against the Raiders on Sunday. On the other side of the field, rookie Henry Ruggs III leads Las Vegas in yards per reception in 2020. He has averaged 18.4 receiving yards per catch.

FOX Bet Sportsbook is offering odds of +500 on Henry Ruggs III and Breshad Perriman to each tally 75 or more receiving yards.
