Lusting for Liam

-

FORMER “Real Housewives of New York” star Carole Radziwill went on a quest to date actor Liam Neeson after sharing a flirty kiss with him at Andy Cohen’s Christmas party one year. Radziwill lays out the encounter in Town & Country, saying Neeson came to epitomize masculinity for her when “another man walked past in the overcrowded room and bumped me out of his way, spilling my eggnog . . . [Liam] put his huge hand on my arm to steady me, and then I could hear his deep Rob Roy Irish voice: ‘Hey, listen. If you can’t watch where you’re going I’m going to have to ask you to leave.’ Liam was going to ask this stranger to leave and it wasn’t even his apartment!” Neeson, she says, later kissed her. “Not a French kiss, but a longer-thanhello one.” Radziwill admits she “crystallized” “Taken” star Neeson — the act of projecting “impossibly perfect characteristics onto the object of your desire” — and says she rationally knew that along with her eating a pot brownie, he “had, noticeably, plenty to drink before he found his way to the eggnog, and his sauntering approach may have been more of a stagger.” After the bash she went through a number of people to try and get in touch with him, including one friend who tells her they “hear he has big . . . box office.” Eventually, two years later, she saw Neeson again while serving as the celebrity bartender for Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live.” Radziwill is, er, taken by a boyfriend, but says Neeson led her to realize, “While I desired a manly man, I did not need one.”
