LI’s running of the bull
A runaway bull that briefly shut down a stretch of a Long Island highway Tuesday morning was still on the loose by nightfall.
Suffolk County police said it was first spotted on Montgomery Avenue in Mastic at about 8:20 a.m. The roughly 1,500-pound animal busted out of a farm on Barnes Road in Manorville by breaking through a fence, police said.
The burly beast then made a run for it along the Sunrise Highway, forcing police to shut it down at Exit 58 for 20 minutes, Patch reported.
