Conservative: The Left Assails Workers

The left claims to champion the working class, but it’s actually targeted the group instead, argues J.T. Young at The American Spectator. “No one suffers more” from inflation fueled by Democratic spending than “those making the least.” School lockdowns took their greatest toll on working-class families, and now their children are subjected to critical-race-theory “indoctrination.” The left’s economic shutdowns hurt the working class and small businesses most. Its “open-borders policy” clobbers working-class workers more than, say, lawyers and accountants, as illegal immigrants push down wages. And families’ “personal security” has been undermined thanks to the #DefundPolice movement. In all, the “last year has definitively exposed” the “biggest lie in American politics”: that the left cares for the working class.
