‘Beauty’ is back

MENA Suvari was sexually assaulted and struggled with drug abuse, she reveals in her memoir, “The Great Peace.” At 20, Suvari (above) was a breakout star of the 1999 hit “American Beauty.” Now 42, she told People that starting at age 12, she became “the victim of repeated sexual abuse.” After she moved to Hollywood as a teen, her life spiraled into partying and drug use. Today, she’s enjoying being a new mom to a son, born in April with her third husband, aptly named Mike Hope.
