YANKEES: Montgomery is expected to get the start. He has lost four straight starts, giving up three runs and three hits in six innings in Friday’s 4-0 loss to the Red Sox last time out. His most recent win was June 2, and he has gone 0-4 with a 4.58 ERA in seven starts spanning 39 ¹/3 innings since.

RED SOX: Houck has rotated between starting and relief — making two appearances as each. He earned his first career save Friday in The Bronx, giving up just one across three shutout innings in the Red Sox’s 4-0 win. All three of his outings last season were in the starting role.
