Sliwa: Install park cams

Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa on Friday urged Mayor de Blasio to “immediately” add surveillance cameras in Inwood Hill Park, where three women were attacked within about an hour Wednesday.

“I’m calling immediately upon the mayor to allow for the use of the police surveillance cameras . . . so that we can somehow try to manage the problems that is exploding in terms of vandalism, assaults, muggings and rapes and attempted rapes in the park system,” he said.

“I ask this simple question of the Parks Department and Mayor de Blasio. We have the technology available. We have police camera boxes at the ready. Why aren’t they being installed in the park system of New York City?”
