Fatal Harlem shooting
At least three people were shot — one fatally — in incidents across the city overnight Monday into Tuesday, cops said.
A 19-year-old man was involved in a dispute at West 141st Street and Eighth Avenue in Harlem when he was shot in the torso at 9:45 p.m. Monday, authorities said.
The shooter took off on a motorcycle, police said.
The victim was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim, a member of the 2Deep, or 2MF, gang, had been arrested 13 times, according to police sources.
In The Bronx, a 31-year-old man was shot in the back at East 144th Street and Morris Avenue in Mott Haven at 8:15 p.m. Monday, police said.
He went to Lincoln Medical Center by private means and is expected to survive.
Tuesday at 12:45 a.m. in The Bronx, a 32-year-old man was in a car on Vyse Avenue near East 174th Street in Charlotte Gardens when someone in a silver Honda opened fire, striking him once in the back.
He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.
Year to date, there have been 867 instances of gunplay compared to 730 during the same period last year, CompStat data show.
