MLB: Bauer leave extended
Trevor Bauer’s administrative leave was extended by 10 days through Aug. 6 by MLB and the players’ association while the sport’s investigators check into allegations of sexual misconduct against the Dodgers pitcher.
• Stephen Strasburg will have seasonending neck surgery, Nationals manager Dave Martinez said, ending another frustrating year for the right-hander.
• Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich tested positive for COVID-19 and will be in quarantine for at least 10 days, the team said.
