27 dogs saved from Qns. hell
Cops rescued 27 injured and sick pit bulls from a Queens home where they were being kept in feces-lined cages, police said on Friday.
The animals’ owner Andrew Cato, 59, was charged with numerous counts of neglect Wednesday, cops said.
The dogs were being held at the Richmond Hill home “in cages coated with feces and urine without proper ventilation . . . without clean food or water,” the NYPD said.
Police had gotten a tip about unsanitary conditions at the house, the NYPD said.
