‘DAD-SHOOT’ BUSTS

7 face raps after pop hit shielding children

- By AMANDA WOODS

Seven men have been arrested in connection to the shooting of a hero dad who was struck as he shielded his kids from gunfire at a Bronx car dealership last year, cops said Friday.

Zykeith Fearon, 21, was arrested Thursday and charged with attempted murder, cops said.

Tahari Pritchard, 20, Dorien Alexander, 20, Daijon Crawford, 21, Aaron Heredia, 21, and Akeyle Baker, 22, were busted

Wednesday and hit with the same charge, police said.

Another suspect, Hasani John, 22 — a known Bloods gang member — was arrested back on March 5 and charged with two counts of assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said. Cops describe the shooting as gang-related.

Victim Anthony Jefferson was inside the On the Road Automotive Group used-car dealership in Eastchester the evening of Sept. 21 — shopping for a car for his wife — when bullets flew just outside, causing the glass to shatter, dramatic video shows.

Jefferson, who was sitting on the couch with his 6-, 5- and 2-year-old sons, dropped to the floor to protect his children but ended up getting shot himself — once in the thigh, cops said.

Following the harrowing incident, Jefferson, the breadwinner for the family, lost his two jobs as a painter for a construction company and for his work doing demolition because he needed surgery to remove the bullet from his leg, his wife, Danica, told The Post at the time.

“He went there to try and surprise me for my birthday and then to actually be a victim of gun violence in a place of business,” she said at the time. “I told him I don’t even want a car, just give me a MetroCard.

“It could have been your kids that were at that dealership,” she added of her hero hubby. “His parental instincts would have been the same. He loves children.”
