TRAINING DAY

- — Paul Schwartz

CORNER THE MARKET

It was another good day for the defensive backfield, a unit that appears to be ahead of the receiving corps in the early days of camp. Rodarius Williams, a rookie sixth-round pick from Oklahoma State, had an interception in a red-zone drill and CB Adoree’ Jackson took the ball away from WR David Sills V on the sideline.

JONESING TO BREAK OUT

It has not exactly been an aweinspiring early camp for Daniel Jones. He had a pass batted down at the line of scrimmage and followed that up by misfiring on a throw to TE Evan Engram, with S Logan Ryan coming up with an end-zone interception.

CAUGHT MY EYE

All the offensive linemen are required to wear knee braces. This was instituted when Joe Judge took over last year. It is more of a college deal, but Judge believes the braces — which can be bulky — help limit all sorts of leg injuries.

MEDICAL REPORT

WR Austin Mack reached out to try to haul in a pass and stayed down. As trainers approached, Mack slammed his helmet to the grass with what looked to be a leg issue. Mack made the team as an undrafted free agent from Ohio State last season, and in 11 games caught seven passes for 91 yards.
