YANKEES: German took a no-decision on Sunday, allowing one earned run on one hit over seven innings in the Yankees’ heartbreaking 5-4 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out 10 and walked one. German’s last win came on May 20, and the right-hander is 0-3 with a 5.73 ERA, 10 home runs allowed and a .236 opponent average over his past 12 appearances (nine starts).
MARLINS: Miami had not announced a starter as of Friday afternoon. It would have been Trevor Rogers’ turn in the rotation, but he went on the IL retroactive to July 20.
