NBA: Doncic agrees to $207M deal

Mavericks superstar guard Luka Doncic agreed to terms on a five-year, $207 million supermax rookie extension on Monday.

Doncic, 22, is eligible for the designated rookie max extension since he’s been voted first-team All-NBA on two occasions.

Jazz guard Mike Conley is returning to Utah, agreeing to a three-year deal worth $68.04 million.

MLB: Ex-Indian Vizquel accused

A former minor league batboy has filed a lawsuit accusing longtime major league shortstop Omar Vizquel of sexual harassment during Vizquel’s tenure as manager of the Birmingham Barons, an affiliate of the White Sox.

The 25-year-old man filed suit in U.S. District Court in Alabama on Friday accusing the 11-time Gold Glove winner of exposing himself multiple times and forcing the man to wash his back in the shower in 2019.

The suit says the man is autistic and accuses the White Sox and Double-A Birmingham Barons of violating the Americans With Disabiliti­es Act.

The defendants had not filed a response to the lawsuit as of Monday and no attorney for them was listed in federal court records.

In Minneapoli­s, Eloy Jiménez hit two homers with five RBIs for the second straight game, Lucas Giolito pitched twohit ball for eight innings and the White Sox cruised past the Twins 11-1.

In Cleveland, José Ramírez hit a two-run homer and an RBI triple, leading the Indians to a 9-3 victory over the Reds.

The Dodgers transferre­d left-handed pitchers Clayton Kershaw and Danny Duffy to the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster for a pair of waiver claims. Kershaw will be eligible to return Sept. 5 and Duffy on Sept. 18. NHL: Kuokkanen back with Devils

Finnish forward Janne Kuokkanen has signed a two-year contract to return to the Devils. The 23-year-old restricted free agent will earn $1.6 million this season and more than $2 million in 2022-23.

Kuokkanen had eight goals and 17 assists in 50 games last season. His 21 evenstreng­th points ranked sixth among all NHL rookie skaters.

Novak Djokovic pulled out of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, meaning the next time he will be in action will be as he tries to complete a calendar-year Grand Slam at the U.S. Open.

The top-ranked Djokovic wrote on social media that he needs “a bit longer to recover and recuperate after quite a taxing journey from Australia to Tokyo.”

Bob Jenkins, who was ESPN’s lead motorsport­s announcer for more than 20 years and called the Indianapol­is 500 on television and radio, died Monday at the age of 73. The cause was brain cancer, according to a statement from the Indianapol­is Motor Speedway.
