NFL: Browns miffed at KC asst.

Browns center JC Tretter believes Kansas City assistant coach Greg Lewis should be discipline­d by the NFL for his role in a sideline skirmish with Cleveland safety Ronnie Harrison Jr. on Sunday.

Harrison was ejected from Cleveland’s 33-29 loss in the first quarter after he forcefully pushed Lewis, who shoved the Browns safety.

Parys Haralson, a former linebacker for the 49ers and Saints, has died, the Niners announced. He was 37.

Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah has a season-ending Achilles tendon injury, the team announced.

The 49ers have placed running back Raheem Mostert on injured reserve with what coach Kyle Shanahan called “chipped cartilage” in one of his knees. Additional­ly, cornerback Jason Verrett’s season is over with a torn ACL.

ETC.: Jackets cut loose assistant The Blue Jackets said that the team has replaced assistant coach Sylvain Lefebvre, who declined to get a COVID-19 vaccinatio­n. He was replaced on coach Brad Larsen’s staff by Steve McCarthy.

Will Zalatoris has been voted PGA Tour rookie of the year, the first player in 20 years to receive the award without being a full PGA Tour member.
