ETC.: Trial date set for former Chiefs assistant

Former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid is scheduled to face trial in April on a charge of driving while intoxicate­d after a crash last year that seriously injured a 5-year-old girl.

Reid, the son of Chiefs coach Andy Reid, was charged after he hit two stopped cars on an entrance ramp near Arrowhead Stadium in February, prosecutor­s said.

• Carli Lloyd scored a career-high five goals and the United States routed Paraguay 9-0 in the women’s national team’s first game since the Olympics Thursday in Cleveland. Lloyd, 39, has 133 internatio­nal goals in 313 appearance­s with the national team.
