YANKEES: Kluber will be facing his former team for the first time ever in his third start since spending three months on the injured list with an injury to his throwing shoulder. He has allowed 11 runs on 14 hits and seven walks in 11 2/3 innings since his return. He hasn’t pitched past the fourth inning, though his pitch count has increased each time. INDIANS: Plesac, who has lost just twice in 18 starts since the end of April, lost his last time out, a 3-0 defeat Saturday against Milwaukee. He allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks in six innings. He is 1-1 with a 4.63 ERA in two career starts against the Yankees.
