Fordham rolls past Stony Br’k
Tim DeMorat passed for 280 yards and four touchdowns, two of them to Dequece Carter, and Fordham picked up its first win of the season with a 31-14 victory at Stony Brook on Saturday.
The Rams (1-3) grabbed the lead for good midway through the second quarter when DeMorat passed to Fotis Kokosioulis for a 4-yard TD. Seba Nekhet had a receiving and rushing TD for the Seawolves (1-3).
Columbia 35, Georgetown 24
In Manhattan, quarterback Ty Lenhart ran for three of Columbia’s four rushing touchdowns, and Will Allen returned a kickoff 92 yards for a score as the Lions (2-0) beat Georgetown (1-2).
Ty’son Edwards had 4-yard TD run and Ben Mathiasmeier intercepted the Hoyas’ Pierce Holley twice for the Lions.
Wyoming 24, UConn 22
In East Hartford, Conn., Titus Swen scored on a late 2-yard run and Wyoming (4-0) survived a dramapacked final 3:34 to eke out the victory over Connecticut (0-5).
The Huskies got within two on Nate Carter’s 2-yard TD with four seconds left, but the two-point conversion pass by Tyler Phommachanh failed.
Temple 41, Wagner 7
In Philadelphia, D’Wan Mathis threw for two touchdowns to Kadas Reams, Kyle Dobbins had three short touchdown runs and Temple (2-2) rolled over FCS foe Wagner (0-4).
The Seahawks took an early lead on Guenson Alexis’ 1-yard plunge on the opening possession of the game.
Holy Cross 45, Momnouth 15
In West Long Branch, N.J., Tenio Ayeni had five catches for 107 yards and two scores as Holy Cross (3-1) overpowered Monmouth (2-2).
The Hawks scored on Tony Muskett’s a 14-yard TD pass to Joey Aldarelli and Jaden Shirden’s 75-yard run.
