The Maryland woman arrested with her Navy-engineer husband over the weekend for allegedly selling secret information about US nuclear submarines appears to be vocally in support of Black Lives Matter and “resistance” movements on her social media.

Diana Toebbe, an Annapolis teacher accused of acting as a lookout for her husband, Jonathan, posted repeatedly in support of BLM on social media, Fox News reported on Monday.

A Twitter account appearing to belong to her follows several “resistance” accounts, including @NotAltWorld, which brands itself “The Original Alt National Park Service Resistance,” @altUSEPA, which is labeled “The Unofficial ‘Resistance’ team of the US Environmental Protection Agency,” and @RougeNASA, an “unofficial ‘Resistance’ team of NASA.”

The account in Toebbe’s name appears to have last been active in 2017 and has 26 followers. It retweeted several posts criticizing a then-newly inaugurated President Donald Trump.

Profile photos on a Facebook page reportedly belonging to Toebbe include a picture of the transgender flag, Hillary Clinton’s campaign logo, and images supporting the LGBTQ+ community. A October 2016 profile image features the words “Women can stop Trump.”

Toebbe, 45, and her husband, 42, were arrested in Jefferson County, W.Va., on espionage charges Saturday. The FBI alleges Jonathan passed information about Virginia-class submarines to a person he believed to be a foreign operative but who was actually an FBI agent.

Diana allegedly acted as a lookout as Jonathan left memory cards — including one hidden in a peanut-butter sandwich — at drop-off sites.

The couple is to appear in federal court in Martinsburg, W.Va., Tuesday. Diana has been suspended as a faculty member at Key School in Annapolis, according to Fox News.
