New tiff on Twitter for Thor, Francesa

- By MARK W. SANCHEZ

Now that Noah Syndergaard has learned Mike Francesa is “still alive,” he apparently doesn’t want to stop burying him.

A day later, the now Angels starting pitcher and the WFAN legend continued trading blows, Francesa trashing Syndergaard after he signed with the Angels, and Syndergaard emerging as a second-time, longtime foe.

The two originally had been wrapped in a Twitter battle Friday, when Francesa pointed at Syndergaard’s injury history, and Thor replied by saying “Congrats” on still being alive.

Neither is the type to allow the other to get the last word.

“I competed every day for 35 years (and won) in my chosen profession in the greatest city in the world. Noah whined and ran away,” tweeted Francesa, who was on top of the New York airwaves for more than 30 years before retiring for a second time in July 2020.

“Only thing you’ve ever won is being a gas-bag Mets hating opportunist,” Syndergaard replied. “All you’ve done is talk s–t and spread toxic crap for a career. Congrats again sweetie, you’re doing great.” Twitter Noah Syndergaard and Mike Francesa

As of publication time, Francesa had not yet told Syndergaard that he is overrated or to get “lawst.”

The feud stemmed from the 29-year-old Syndergaard leaving the Mets after six seasons this week for a one-year, $21 million pact from the Angels that beat the Mets’ qualifying offer. The Angels will gamble that the star, who has thrown just two innings in two seasons because of Tommy John surgery, can rebound in a big way, and the Mets can try to allocate that money elsewhere and recouped a draft pick in the process.
