No. 16 Bonnies stunned by Northern Iowa

AJ Green scored 35 points with four assists to lead Northern Iowa to a 90-80 win over No. 16 St. Bonaventur­e on Saturday in Olean, N.Y.

Green did most of his damage for the Panthers (2-3) from 3-point territory, making a career-best 9 of 15.

Kyle Lofton had 21 points and seven assists for the Bonnies (5-1).

In Las Vegas, Jules Bernard scored 18 points and had two blocks to lead the No. 2 Bruins (6-1) over the

Runnin’ Rebels (4-3).

Arizona 105, Sacramento St. 59

In Tucson, Ariz., Azoulas Tubelis scored 22 points, Christian Koloko added 20 before leaving with an ankle injury and the No. 17 Wildcats routed the Hornets (3-3).

UMass 85, Rutgers 83

In Amherst, Mass., Noah Fernandes hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, giving Massachuse­tts

(5-3) a stunning victory over the Scarlet Knights (3-3).

After Paul Mulcahy scored in the paint to give Rutgers an 83-82 lead with five seconds remaining, UMass inbounded to Fernandes in the backcourt. He brought the ball up the left side, calmly pulled up from about 25 feet and buried the winning jumper.

Hofstra 98, Detroit 84

In Hempstead, Omar Silverio had a career-high 28 points, Zach Cooks added 20 points and the Pride (3-4) beat the Titans (0-5). Silverio hit 8 of 10 3-pointers.

Monmouth 61, Cincinnati 59

In Cincinnati, Marcus McClary posted 18 points, Shavar Reynolds Jr. added 14 points and Monmouth (5-1) held off the Bearcats (5-2).

Providence 85, Saint Peter’s 71

In Providence, R.I., Noah Horchler had 25 points and 11 rebounds and Nate Watson added 23 points as the Friars (6-1) topped Saint Peter’s (1-3).

Army 65, Marist 61

In West Point, Jalen Rucker had 24 points as the Black Knights (4-2) narrowly beat the Red Foxes (2-3).

Josh Caldwell had six assists for Army. Charlie Peterson added seven rebounds. Aaron Duhart had six rebounds.

LIU 99, Delaware St. 65

In Brooklyn, Kyndall Davis scored a career-high 21 points, and Long Island (1-4) beat the Hornets (2-4).

North Carolina A&T 73, St. Francis Brooklyn 67

In Niceville, Fla., Marcus Watson scored 28 points as North Carolina A&T (2-6) topped St. Francis Brooklyn (0-6) in the Emerald Coast Classic.
