The man suspected of murdering the wife of legendary music producer Clarence Avant at their Beverly Hills home was arrested after he shot himself in the foot in a botched robbery nearby, police said Thursday.

Aariel Maynor, 29, a parolee with a criminal history, was found in the backyard of a different Beverly Hills residence about an hour he allegedly killed Jacqueline Avant during a home invasion at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Cops said the gunshot wound to his foot was accidentally self-inflicted during an attempted burglary.

In June 2010, Maynor was convicted of felony grand theft and was sentenced to 20 days in jail and three years of probation.

In July 2013, he pleaded no contest to a domestic-violence incident and was sentenced to 36 months’ probation.

In November of that year, he pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced to five years.

Maynor was wheeled out of the hospital on Thursday evening with his foot wrapped in bandages.

Detectives said they analyzed surveillance footage that shows Maynor’s vehicle traveling from the area near Avant’s home shortly before he was arrested.

Police connected the two incidents based on evidence uncovered at both crime scenes, including the suspected weapon.

Clarence Avant, 90, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in May, is the subject of the Netflix documentary “The Black Godfather.”
